Carina Diamond, Founder and CEO of Springside Partners LLC, announced the change in ownership and strategic division of SS&G Wealth Management and Springside Partners, two previously sister firms. Going forward, SS&G Wealth Management will be owned by Prosperity Advisors, LLC.
Both Springside Partners and SS&G Wealth Management will continue to operate in Akron and each will continue to serve its own client base with financial services. Each firm will maintain separate staff and management. Shared clients will be served by the two firms.
Diamond said, “This change represents new strength for each of our organizations. Both will be able to focus with dedication on the clients suited to the firm’s expertise, and our professionals will experience enhanced career paths in their specialties.”
As a Registered Investment Advisor, Springside Partners serves individuals, families and organizations with investment management, retirement planning and financial planning. The firm provides independent, financial management on a fee-only basis, without commissions. Firm principals are Carina Diamond, Patrick Hahn and Brenda Hood.
SS&G Wealth Management—named for its original parent, accounting firm SS&G, Inc. (now BDO)—also serves individuals and companies with financial planning and investment management, as well as specializing in insurance and qualified retirement plans for employers. It offers both fee-based and commission-based services and continues its relationship with Cetera Advisors as its broker-dealer. Financial advisors Marc Servodio, CFP®, AIF®, and Joseph Pelle, AIF®, partners in Prosperity Advisors LLC, will lead the practice in Fairlawn.
This separation of the firms’ ownership structure will eliminate confusion over lines of business and enable each firm to grow in its particular expertise. Both Springside Partners and SS&G Wealth Management are committed to Northeast Ohio and the Akron area.
Diamond added, “We are delighted with the opportunities provided by this new strategic direction. We are grateful to our clients who have made our collective growth possible. Our two firms and our people will move forward with pride in what we have all accomplished.”
